Several villages in Korçë are creating new spaces to produce, promote and sell traditional local products as part of the “Taste Routes” project.

Mayor Sotiraq Filo said the Albanian Development Fund and the Municipality of Korçë are implementing the project together. The initiative aims to give new functions to village centers. It will also create suitable spaces to process local products and bring them closer to visitors.

In Qatrom village, the project will establish the “Cherry House”, a dedicated space for producing and promoting cherries and their by-products.

The facility will include production and tasting areas, spaces for workshops and a shop for local products. In addition, the new facilities will become part of a tourist route.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see how local products are prepared, taste them and purchase them directly.

According to Mayor Filo, the project will create new opportunities for local residents to expand production and increase household income. At the same time, it will offer visitors a new way to discover the villages of Korçë through their local products and culinary traditions.
