The colors, rhythms and traditions of the Croatian town of Pag reached the heart of Tirana today, introducing Albanian audiences to the rich cultural heritage of the Croatian island.

At Skanderbeg Square, artists from Pag presented a festive performance featuring traditional music and dances in colorful folk costumes. They then continued with a march toward Mother Teresa Square.

The activities take place as part of the International Cultural Weeks. They aim to create a new platform for cultural exchange between Albania and Croatia through music, folklore, handicrafts and gastronomy.

A delegation of around 25 artists is presenting Pag’s centuries-old traditions in Tirana. The delegation includes members of the Družina Folklore Association, the Galijota klapa group and Pag lace artisans.

The program began with a march from Hotel Mak Albania to Skanderbeg Square. There, the artists performed a 15-minute flash mob, bringing Pag’s rhythms and energy to the center of Tirana.

The evening continued at the University of Arts with a presentation of Pag and the concert “From Croatia with Love”. The audience had the opportunity to discover the town’s music, dances, traditional costumes, customs and authentic products.

Through the event, Pag is presenting itself not only as a destination with unique tourism value, but also as a town that preserves and passes its cultural and craft traditions from one generation to the next.

The concert took place Tuesday evening at the University of Arts in Tirana. Admission was free.
