TIFF makes PRIX VIMEO 2027 shortlist for third consecutive year

The Tirana International Film Festival (TIFF) has made the PRIX VIMEO 2027 Shortlist. It joins 31 festivals that qualify for the European Film Awards.

This marks the third consecutive year that a TIFF winner has reached the shortlist.

In 2026, TIFF gave the Best European Short Film – Eligible for European Film Awards 2026 award to “Nobody Said Anything”. Tamara Todorović directed the 15-minute film. Serbia, France, Slovenia and Croatia co-produced it.

The film competed in TIFF’s short-film programme for European Film Awards-eligible productions.

The TIFF 2026 jury included Hoda Taheri, John Canciani and Nikola Majdak. The jury praised the film for building tension with skill. It also highlighted the film’s subtle portrayal of distrust and the gradual loss of solidarity.

“Nobody Said Anything” follows Katarina. She goes to her daughter’s friend’s home after receiving a call. There, she faces the consequences of what seemed to be an innocent game. However, the situation quickly spirals out of control.

The film had already gained international recognition before TIFF. In fact, it competed in the official short-film section at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. Organizers selected it as one of only 10 films from thousands of submissions.

For TIFF, the third consecutive shortlist appearance marks another important recognition. It further strengthens the festival’s presence on the European short-film scene.

“Congratulations to the staff and the entire team!” TIFF said in its announcement.
