Prime Minister Edi Rama hosted a US congressional delegation at the Prime Minister’s Office, where US Ambassador to Albania Eric Wendt also attended.

Rama shared footage from the meeting on social media.

Earlier, a delegation from the US House of Representatives, led by Congressman Vern Buchanan, chairman of the Committee on Democracy Partnership, met with Parliament Speaker Niko Peleshi.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to further strengthen the Albania-US strategic partnership. They also addressed cooperation on security challenges and efforts to maintain a stable and secure region.

Meanwhile, they focused on accelerating Albania’s path toward the European Union. They highlighted the importance of reforms and stronger democratic institutions in this process.

The meeting also covered ways to expand economic cooperation and business ties. The two sides aim to create more opportunities for investment and partnerships between Albania and the United States.
