Gonxhja: British-Ukrainian Cultural Week starts today

Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports Blendi Gonxhja announced that the 2026 British-Ukrainian Cultural Week starts today and will run through October 12.
For the first time, the two Cultural Weeks are taking place together. The joint program brings British and Ukrainian culture together. It also sends a strong message of cooperation and solidarity through art.
The British-Ukrainian Cultural Week brings art, music and creative works to Tirana. It also creates new opportunities for cultural cooperation.
Meanwhile, the International Cultural Weeks have become an important platform for cultural exchange in Tirana. They introduce Albanian audiences to traditions, artists, ideas and stories from around the world.
Through these events, culture becomes a common language. It brings societies closer and promotes mutual understanding.
“We invite you to join a rich program that brings together traditions, experiences and people. It shows that even in challenging times, culture has the power to bring us closer,” Gonxhja wrote on social media.
