Prime Minister Edi Rama said Malësia e Madhe and Përmet have transformed over the past decade, emerging as tourist destinations with growing economic potential.

Speaking in the fifth episode of the seventh season of his “FLASIM” podcast, Rama recalled that both areas once seemed to offer few opportunities for development. He said many residents saw little prospect of building a future there.

Rama said the two regions now form part of Albania’s growing tourism and entrepreneurship sector. He described their transformation as part of broader efforts to develop destinations beyond the capital and showcase a different side of the country.
