Teuta Beat Skënderbeu to Extend Winning Run as Elbasani and Vora Draw

Albania’s Abissnet Superiore resumed this weekend after the international break for Nations League matches, with Teuta extending their winning streak and Elbasani sharing the points with Vora.

Teuta beat Skënderbeu 2-0 at the Niko Dovana Stadium to secure their fifth consecutive victory and maintain top spot in the standings. Kallaku opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 16th minute, before Pedro doubled the lead in the 32nd. However, Teuta played with 10 men from the 74th minute after Boçi received a red card. Coach Edlir Tetova, named the league’s best coach for September, now awaits the results of his team’s closest rivals.

Meanwhile, Elbasani and Vora drew 1-1 at Elbasan Arena. Mazari put the hosts ahead in the 22nd minute, but Karriqi equalized late in the first half. The result temporarily placed Elbasani fourth and lifted Vora to seventh.

The sixth round concludes on Sunday with three more matches. Partizani face Tirana in the capital derby, while Vllaznia take on Dinamo. Laçi will also host reigning champions Egnatia.
