The National Institute of Cultural Heritage Registration (NICHR) is doing a pretty good job in registering heritage elements.

The number of registrations of intangible cultural heritage elements during 2023 was 95, while in 2022 only 7.

“With the acceptance of jubilation and transhumance under the protection of UNESCO, but also with the announcement of the “national capital” of the Mirdita woman’s dress, Gramsh’s fiddles and the Devil’s dance, our intangible cultural heritage is gaining more and more value and is being promoted more and more,”Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti writes in a post on social networks.
