Margariti: Mirdita woman’s dress declared a National Asset of Intangible Cultural Heritage

The wonderful dress of the Mirdita woman has been declared a “National Asset of Intangible Cultural Heritage”.
The Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti, published photos of the traditional costume on social networks, as she wrote that, “filled with mythical and cult symbols, this is the wonderful dress of the Mirdita woman”.
Margariti said that, “at the proposal of the “Mirdita Union” Center, the National Council of Intangible Cultural Heritage, after reviewing the file, decided that this clothing that has accompanied the women of the Mirdita region for centuries, should be declared a national asset.”
This fact, the minister emphasized, makes us even more aware of its preservation and heritage.
