The 62nd edition of the Song Festival on the RTSH will raise the curtain today as we will all have the opportunity to enjoy 4 magical nights in the company of good music.

The Artistic Director of the Festival, Bojken Lako has revealed other surprises, as he has announced the names of the music icons who will be on stage. On the first night, in addition to getting to know the songs participating in the Festival, the public will have the opportunity to enjoy a special performance by the well-known Italian artist, Umberto Tozzi.

The second night of the Festival will bring to the stage well-known names of Albanian music such as Aleksandër Gjoka, Adelina Ismaili and Indri Mesini. On the third night, which is also the night of nostalgia, we will hear the wonderful voices of singers Irma and Eranda Libohova and Eugen Bushpepa.

Lako informed that even more surprises are reserved for the fourth night of the Festival.

“There are various guests, musicians, artists from Albania and the world to perform on the first and second night. On the first night, the well-known Italian artist Umberto Tozzi will be in a special guest, in addition to the beauty and that excitement we have for the first performance of the songs. Even on the second night there will be different guests as it is also the conception for these 4 evenings, a Year End Party in the 62nd edition where there will be artists who are icons of Albanian music. Aleksandër Gjoka, Adelina Ismaili, Indrit Mesiti will perform too. The third night is also full of guests. That would be the night of nostalgia which will be a novelty, but I don’t want to reveal it. Many thanks to the artists who will join us for this evening, such as Irma and Eranda Libohova, Eugent Bushpepa, Ilir Shaqiri. There is a long list of artists who will perform on the third night. Even the fourth night is full of surprises that I cannot reveal all, but I would like to thank all the artists and musicians for the positive response to participate in this 62nd Song Festival,” said Lako.

The Artistic Director of the Festival said that this year, special importance has been paid to the lyrics content, which will also be reflected in the selection of the jury.

“This year, since in the song acceptance scheme, we have given more opportunity to the higher level of lyrics by defining a main theme of the Festival, which is words and music. The public will see that even in the evaluation and selection of the personalities of the jury, the text, creation, authors and singer-songwriters will occupy a major place,” said Lako.
