On December 13, 1608, Serbian, Albanian, Bulgarian, Bosnian and Herzegovinan leaders gathered in the monastery of Moraca, near the lake of Shkodra, under the leadership of the patriarch of Peja. They discussed expelling the Ottomans and the Duke of Savoy was asked for help. This meeting served as a starting point for the organization of several Balkan assemblies.

On December 13, 1877, the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of the Albanian Nationality, known as the Istanbul Committee, was formed, inspiring and organizing the Albanian League of Prizren. It was led by Abdyl Frashëri.

Under the direction of the “Dituria” club, on December 13, 1909, the play “Besa” by Sami Frashëri was shown in Korça. The prominent patriots Themistokli Gërmenji, Hilë Mosi and Qemal Panariti were in the main roles.

On December 13, 1928, the convention on consular service between Albania and Greece, concluded in Athens in October 1926, entered into force.

On December 13, 1929, the patriot Rexhep Demi died in Bari, Italy. He was born in 1855 in Filat of Chameria. He was an active activist, a participant in the anti-Ottoman uprising of southern Albania. In 1912, he was elected a delegate of Chameria in the National Assembly of Vlora. Three years later he was arrested by Greek chauvinists and imprisoned in Ioannina.

On December 13, 1993, apartments were allowed to be sold and rented out. The liberalization of the housing policy is an important part of the reform for the transition to the capitalist market economy.
