A warn to EU from Abazovic and Pendarovski: Need to change the decision-making model

Montenegrin Prime Minister, Dritan Abazovic, has expressed criticism regarding the European Union. In the speech held in Brussels for the discussion session about the EU-Western Balkans summit, Abazovic said that the spaces of the Western Balkans should be expanded, or, as he pointed out, they will remain in a black hole.
Abazovic stressed that the Balkan countries should have priority and concrete steps should be taken for their integration into the European Union. Further, while emphasizing the need for more solidarity and support to Ukraine.
While North Macedonian President, Pendarovski was more or less on the same line with Abazovic, while calling for EU to change the decision-making model, adding that the absence of Europe in the Region will bring more authoritarian governance models.
“These changes are necessary from both sides in the EU and the region. If the EU does not change the basic decision-making model, we will not see much progress and improvement in relations between Brussels and the Western Balkans. I wish I was wrong, but in brief, less Europe in the Region, more Russia in the Region, with the exception of Albania: If we see less Europe, we will see more authoritarian governance models,” President of North Macedonia was quoted as sayng.
