A special activity was organized in Devoll on the occasion of the declaration of the Devollite Dance as a “National Value of Intangible Cultural Heritage”.

The Prefect of the Korça District, Nertil Jole, present at this event, expressed appreciation and gratitude for the passionate efforts of Guri Seferi, the head of the patriotic cultural association “Devolli”, the mayor of the Devoll Municipality, Eduard Duro, as well as especially Niko Kothere that through researched documents, made it possible for the National Council of Intangible Cultural Heritage to decide that this men’s dance, which is performed generation after generation in the area of ​​Devoll and Korça be part of the list of national values.

The Devollite Dance was announced a day ago as “National Value of Intangible Cultural Heritage”. This is a men’s dance that is performed in the area of ​​Devolli and Korça, which lifts the hearts of Albanians every time it culminates in celebrations and joys.
