Albania, Kosova, and Croatia discuss advancing defense cooperation

TIRANA, February 4 – The Ministry of Defence of Kosova announced that officials from Albania, Kosova, and Croatia held a trilateral meeting. The meeting followed the 2025 Trilateral Joint Declaration signed by the defense ministers of the three countries.
The meeting involved directors of Defense Policy and Armaments. Meanwhile, it formed part of the actions to implement the agreed areas of cooperation among the three countries.
Kosova’s delegation was led by Faruk Geci, director of Defense Policy. During the discussions, participants exchanged views on advancing joint defense capabilities. They also addressed collaboration among the defense industries of the signatory countries. In addition, they reviewed the next steps to implement the declaration.
The Ministry of Defence of Kosova stated that the declaration outlines four main areas for further trilateral cooperation. First, it promotes collaboration in defense capabilities and defense industry development. Second, it increases interoperability through education, training, and joint exercises. Third, it addresses hybrid threats and strengthens resilience. Fourth, it provides continuous support for Euro-Atlantic integration.
Furthermore, the declaration confirmed the commitment to strengthen trilateral security and defense cooperation. This aims to enhance safety and stability in Southeast Europe. At the same time, officials emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts to address emerging security challenges, hybrid threats, and other risks that may affect regional and international stability.
