In a joint press conference with Kosova’s counterpart, Vjosa Osmani in Prishtina, Albanian President, Bajram Begaj expressed optimism that on Tuesday (April 16) there will be a successful vote in the Council of Europe and that Kosovo will become a member.

Begaj emphasized that Albania is Kosova’s advocate for new recognition and membership in international organizations.

“Albania has a duty and will be Kosova’s advocate for new recognition and membership in international organizations. I am very hopeful that tomorrow we will have a successful vote in the Council of Europe. This will give us more inspiration for better work in the future,” emphasized the Albanian president.

While, Kosovan President, Vjosa Osmani said that Kosova is blessed to have Albania’s support in the entire process towards membership in the Council of Europe.

The meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly takes place this Tuesday, April 16. Kosova has applied in May 2022 for membership in the Council of Europe.
