Albania officially has its representative in the Anthology of World Contemporary Art for 2021

Albania officially has its representative in the Anthology of World Contemporary Art for 2021. Selected by the Publishing House “De AGostini” in Italy in collaboration with the staff of “Start Group”, artist Shpend Bengu is part of the 1000-page publication, which will be distributed in all the world.

For the arguments and personalities that contribute to its realization, the anthology is considered a piece of museum paper on art paper and serves as a ‘guide’ for institutions and artists.

Originating in 1940, this edition spans over 8 decades of contemporary world art and is curated by Stefania Pieralice. Being selected for such an anthology brings a number of advantages and opportunities for artistic career, to be involved in artistic or academic events.

From the MAXXI Museum, at the University of “La Sapienza” and the Venice Biennale, the anthology has been presented over the years in the most prestigious institutions in the world. With a rich experience in the field of Art, Multimedia and Cultural Heritage at home and abroad, Bengu constitutes a tempting package for cultural institutions.

This is just his next success after a series of national and international awards such as the “Painting Prize”, at the Biennale of Contemporary Art at the Austrian Biennale.
