Albanian Encyclopedia Center Joins European Encyclopedia Network

The Encyclopedia and Albanology Publishing Center (QBEA) of the Albanian Academy of Sciences has joined the European Encyclopedia Network (EEN).
All member countries voted unanimously to admit QBEA.
Founded in 2022, EEN helps members share experiences on encyclopedia practices. It promotes cooperation, reliable access to verified information, and the preservation of national and cultural identity. The network also addresses the growing flood of information from various sources and ensures financial and technical sustainability for projects.
EEN members include prestigious institutes like Italy’s Treccani, Germany’s Brockhaus Enzyklopädie, and Croatia’s Miroslav Krleža Institute.
QBEA’s membership marks a key step in sharing knowledge on encyclopedias and dictionaries, two major projects of the Albanian Academy of Sciences.
The center currently supports three major Albanology projects: History of the Albanians, The Great Dictionary of the Albanian Language, and the Albanian Encyclopedia.
