The National Theatre of Albania celebrated the birthday of Ndriçim Xhepa, one of the most iconic figures in Albanian theatre and film.

Born in Tirana on January 21, 1957, Xhepa has had a distinguished career, performing in over 30 films and around 40 theatre roles. Notable performances include Twelfth Night, Romeo and Juliet, Prometheus, The Death of a Commissioner, and The Stairs.

Xhepa won the “Aleksandër Moisiu” Award for Best Actor in 1995 for his role in Fernando Krafti Has Written Me This Letter. Since 1988, he has also been an adjunct professor at the Academy of Arts.

His film career features memorable roles in The Friends, Distant Times, The Train Leaves at 6:55, and The Rapists. He is a three-time winner of the Best Actor Award at the Film Festivals in 1987, 1989, and 2000.
