Albanian Film Soundtracks Honored in Tribute Concert

Metropol Theatre hosted a two-night concert dedicated to Albanian film music. The event brought to the stage the sounds that shaped some of the country’s most important films.
Conductor Gridi Kraja led the concert. The SinfoArt Symphony Orchestra performed the works. The audience experienced strong emotions, memories, and nostalgia.
The program featured historic soundtracks by leading Albanian composers. The orchestra performed Çesk Zadeja’s “Skanderbeg – Suite,” Aleksandër Lalo’s touching music from “The Last Winter,” and Robert Radoja’s compositions from “Mornings of War.”
The audience also heard emblematic works by Aleksandër Peçi from “General Gramophone.” The concert included Limoz Dizdari’s unforgettable melodies from “White Roads” and “The Teacher.” It featured sensitive compositions by Haig Zacharian from “The Red Oath” and “The Warm Hand,” as well as Agim Krajka’s beloved soundtrack from “The Lady from the City.”
Works by Kujtim Laro held a special place in the program. These included music from “Freedom or Death,” “The Bride and the Siege,” and “Poppies on the Walls.” The audience greeted them with strong applause.
The concert became a tribute to Albanian film music. Symphonic interpretation gave new life to familiar sounds and confirmed their lasting place in Albania’s cultural memory.
