TIRANA, March 12 – Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Andis Salla signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Presheva Mayor Ardita Sinani to strengthen cooperation in agriculture and rural development.

Salla said the agreement aims to create an institutional framework to modernize agricultural practices, support Albanian farmers in Presheva, and develop technical and professional capacities in the sector.

He added that the memorandum promotes knowledge exchange, joint projects, and access to European Union funds.

Salla emphasized that cooperation will focus on priority sub-sectors, including crop production, livestock, beekeeping, and small-scale artisanal processing of agro-food products. He also said the partnership will support agricultural and rural investments and strengthen the agro-food value chain.

The minister noted that the collaboration will create more opportunities for farmers and reinforce links between Albanian communities in the region, contributing to sustainable development of the agricultural sector.
