Albanian Pianist Manjola Camuset-Trebicka Awarded “Knight of the Order of Merit”

Pianist and professor Manjola Camuset-Trebicka received the French “Knight of the Order of Merit” on January 20.
Grand Chancellor of the Legion of Honour, General François Lecointre, presented the award in recognition of her successful career connecting France and Albania.
In an emotional interview from Paris with Andri Xhahu on the show “Në Radio”, Trebicka said the honor reflects her entire life. She trained in Tirana before performing on French stages and teaching at French institutions. For her, the title goes beyond personal achievement.
“This award honors my personal history, but also our shared history—from my journey in Albania to today,” she said.
Trebicka delivered a cinematic acceptance speech. She described her childhood in Albania in black-and-white tones. Then she highlighted the influence of dedicated teachers, family support, and her arrival in France.
Above all, she left the audience with a clear message: “Keep learning throughout life.”
“I pay tribute to my teachers, my family, and all those who taught me. Stay humble and dignified, and continue learning throughout life,” Trebicka said.
