Albania’s First November the 28th was on 1443

Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg with his 300 best men liberated Kruja, Albania’s main citadel, from the Ottomans to start the great Albanian Resistance of the 15th century. That was precisely on November the 28th 1443.
Known to the world as a ‘condottiere’ (military leader), a great general of his century, and as a defender of Faith, to Albanians, he is the uniter, the commander and political leader, a victor against all odds and above all a corner stone of the nation.
Over the centuries, Gjergj Kastrioti became a source of inspiration for resistance not only for Albanians, but also for all the peoples of Europe. There is no place in Europe where at least one work has not been written or translated about him. The personality of Skanderbeg ranks among the most famous military and strategists in the world.
