Invited to the show “Good morning, Albania,” the winner of the public award at the Song Festival in Albanian Radio Television (ART), Albina Kelmendi, with the song “Duje” that will also represent Albania at Eurovision 2023, said that the song came as a wish to be presented as a family and as such to convey a message. Kelmendi said that the song comes with a current message about the concept of family, including the love of not only between spouses, but also parents or all relatives.

The novelty of this performance at the Song Festival is the representation by one family, which, as Albina said, is not their first collaboration. The singer herself said that she had had a conviction in herself to win the public award, although she greatly appreciates the second award, received by the Jury.

‘Albina and the Kelmendi Family’ will represent Albania at Eurovision 2023. She has received the highest number of votes from the public, being the Albanians’ favorite to send to the big stage of Europe’s song.

The song “Duje” won the hearts of the public, while Albina and the Kelmendi Family also won the second prize of the ART Song Festival professional jury.
