Aleksandër Moisiu, an Albanian born stage and movie actor who played all over the world, was born on April 2, 1879. He was an actor with subtle resonances, effectively touching the tragic characters, establishing himself in those with the most friendly and delicate notes. Streets are named after Alexandër Moisiu in Tirana, Berlin, Salzburg and Vienna, where also a monument of him stands up since 2005.

His father was from Kavaja, while my mother was in the south of Italy at that time. With the union of his parents, the actor spent almost his entire youth in the city of Durrës and then in Tirana, leaving Albania at the age of 20 to move with his mother and two sisters to Vienna.
