Assembly of Kosovo ratifies the Agreement for the free movement with ID-s in the Western Balkans

The Assembly of Kosovo has ratified on Thursday the Agreement for the free movement with identity cards in the Western Balkans.
The agreement is expected to be voted on during February 23 also in the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina. If approved, it is then sent to the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina for approval.

After entering into force, it will enable visa-free movement of citizens from Kosovo and Bosnia.

“In this way, Prishtina and Sarajevo create a new institutional bridge, especially a longed civic one “, said the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti after the approval.

This agreement is one of three agreements reached in Berlin on November 3, 2022, within the framework of the Berlin Process.
