The OSCE representative for Freedom of the Media, Teresa Ribeiro, has reacted to the recent attacks on journalists and cameramen in the north of Kosova by Serbian groups.

“Freedom of the press is the cornerstone of democracy. The recent violent attacks on the media in the north of Kosova are deeply disturbing,” writes Ribeiro.

She emphasized that every journalist deserves to work without fear and hindrance.

“The free and safe environment for the media must be guaranteed at all times”, she writes further.

Meanwhile, earlier the Kosova Police announced that today they have arrested another suspect, for the attacks against media teams reporting in Leposavic.
