The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, during his stay in Kosovo, paid a visit to the family of the late President of Kosovo, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova, in Istog, Peja. He was welcomed by the family members of President Rugova, his wife, Mrs. Fanë, his daughter, Teuta, and his son, Ukë Rugova, with whom he had a brotherly conversation about families, developments in Prishtina and Tirana, as well as the future of Albanians.

President Begaj recalled the emblematic figure of Dr. Rugova and expressed that his teachings, wisdom, intelligence, and the vision of the man of human resistance should be honored and followed by Albanians at all times.

“Every Albanian should come here, as for all of us, Rugova is and will remain the President,” said the Head of State, who praised Dr. Rugova as a visionary leader, a guide, and an inspiring example for all Albanians.

“The Albanian nation would not be where it is today without the extraordinary contribution of Ibrahim Rugova. The long-awaited dream of all Albanians was realized,” stated the President of the Republic during the meeting with the Rugova family.
