TIRANA, March 4 – President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, met with academics from Albania and Kosova. Attendees included Justina Shiroka Pula, chair of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kosova, Skënder Gjinushi, chair of the Academy of Sciences of Albania, and other academics from both countries.

Begaj praised the academy leaders for their collaboration on projects that promote national identity and address contemporary social issues.

He highlighted the joint project “Encyclopedia of the Albanians” as a major achievement of the two academies and Albanological institutes.

The president stressed that academics play a key role in preserving and promoting Albanian national and linguistic identity.

He also recognized the importance of recent joint conferences, particularly on demography, as relevant to national security.

Begaj assured academics of his personal and institutional support for projects that promote Albanian history through scientific research and verified facts.
