Tirana, October 9 – Belgian-Albanian writer Skënder Sherifi will be celebrated on his 70th birthday. Organizers highlight his “50 years in the service of Francophone literature.”

A poetic evening will take place on October 17 in Brussels at Maison Stepman. Les Poètes Ambulants organize the event.

Poets, artists, and friends of the arts from across Belgium and Europe will attend. They will honor one of the most distinctive voices in Albanian Francophone literature.

Sherifi is known for his deep and philosophical poetry. He builds connections between languages, cultures, and identities. For decades, he has created bridges between the Albanian and Francophone worlds.

The evening will combine poetry, music, and friendship. The event will also be open to the public. Art lovers are invited to attend.
