Bulgaria’s veto on Albania and North Macedonia joining the EU is causing controversy.

European Union Foreign Minister Josep Borrell through a message calls that we have had enough with this situation.

“We are not where we should be in the Balkans, today we have to start negotiations with Albania and North Macedonia and I can not hide my regret: there is still hope, I do not know what the parliament can do in Bulgaria, but it does not seem to be going well. We will have to try to resolve the situation and this shows that unanimity is a problem, we can not proceed with a country that blocks everything. Today is not a good day,” said Borrell.
