Citizens fill “Republika” Cinema in Shkodra after reconstruction

“Republika” Cinema, one of Shkodra’s symbols, is drawing large audiences. It is bringing the latest film premieres closer to culture lovers. The venue is becoming a cultural hub for the city.
After a full reconstruction of the building and interior spaces, “Republika” Cinema reopened on December 26. It welcomed the public with the premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images on social media. They show citizens filling the newly restored cinema hall in Shkodra.
The cinema is currently screening Falli 2, produced by Marjus Dervishi. The cast includes Behar Merja, Marjana Kondi, Margent Çaushi, Klejdis Shehu, Selma Bakalli, and Xhoana Karaj.
Audiences also met the film’s cast in person. The movie is screening for the first time at “Republika” Cinema.
The investment covered every aspect of the building. Renovations upgraded the exterior facade and refreshed the interior spaces. The project added modern infrastructure, furnishings, and up-to-date technology to ensure high-quality screenings.
This transformation places “Republika” Cinema among Shkodra’s leading cultural spaces.
