Clearing Public Spaces, PM Rama: We Keep Moving Forward

Authorities continue clearing public spaces across the country. They remove businesses that occupied sidewalks or areas meant for community use.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared footage today showing public spaces freed from unauthorized occupation. He wrote alongside the images: “We keep moving forward.”
Rama said clearing public spaces improves service quality. It also ensures the proper functioning of businesses and enterprises. The measures follow national standards for hospitality and service in tourist areas and across Albania.
He added that the National Regulation is being drafted. It will legally define the spaces that businesses can use.
The work began in early July. The government will continue its efforts at both local and central levels to protect community life. The initiative is part of the “Urban Renewal 2.0” program.
