Commissioner Kos congratulates Kosova on new government: Focus to shift to reform advancement and Growth Plan

TIRANA, February 12 – European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, welcomed the formation of Kosova’s new government. She described the development as good news for the country.
In a statement posted on social media, she congratulated Prime Minister Albin Kurti on assuming office. She emphasized that attention can now focus on advancing EU-related reforms.
Kos noted that the Parliament is in session and a new government has taken office. She expressed anticipation to visit Kosova soon and highlighted that the focus can shift to advancing EU reforms and fully realizing the benefits of the Growth Plan in Kosova.
She stressed that implementing reforms and utilizing EU support instruments are key for Kosovo’s further progress on its European path.
Earlier, Kurti presented the new government cabinet for the next four years. He outlined the composition and priorities of the executive. With this vote, the new Kosova government officially began its mandate.
The new cabinet includes both new ministers and officials who served in previous governments led by Kurti.
During his speech in Parliament, Kurti said he would normalize relations with Serbia through constructive dialogue. He also mentioned the country’s progress in building a fairer and more inclusive Kosova.
