Covid-19/ Good news for Albanians. Greece scraps Passenger Locator Form

The rule for filling out the PLF (Passenger Locator Form) form from tomorrow to travel to Greece is scraped. This is also good news for Albanians who travel frequently to the neighboring country.

From tomorrow, you will not need to fill in the PLF form, after 20 months it was a mandatory and necessary document for entry into Greece. This applies to travelers arriving in Greece, coming from EU or Schengen area countries, as well as from 35 non-EU countries.

The Minister of Tourism of Greece, Vasilis Kikilias, announced ten days ago that “on the recommendation of the Commission of Epidemiologists of the Ministry of Health, from March 15, 2022, the Passenger Location Form (PLF) for all visitors from all countries for entry into Greece ”and added that the abolition facilitates the process of entry of tourists and the emphasis will be on the control of certificates.
According to the official website of Greece mfa.gr that the government of Greece is easing the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic, by removing the completion of the PLF form, from March 15, 2022.

“The Greek government is easing travel restrictions to curb the COVID-19 pandemic by removing the requirement for international travelers to complete a passenger search form as of March 15, 2022. This means that all passengers arriving in Greece, until March 14, 2022, regardless of nationality “writes the announcement of mfa.gr.
Greece imposed the mandatory completion of the PLF form on July 1, 2020, when after the first wave of Kovid-19 and the first quarantine, it gradually began to open its borders to foreign nationals.
