President Vjosa Osmani met today with the British Ambassador to Pristina, Jonathan Hargreaves. They discussed the latest developments in the country and the early elections set for December 28.

The President stressed the importance of holding these elections according to the highest democratic standards. She said Kosovo has already shown that it can meet these standards.

The meeting also focused on the next steps for finalizing the President’s initiative for strategic Kosovo–UK agreements. These agreements will cover defence, security, the economy, and trade. The two sides had already agreed on this during the British Foreign Secretary’s visit to Pristina last April.
