Elbasan is decorated with colorful lights on the eve of the New Year holidays.

Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama shared today on social networks views from Elbasan on the eve of the New Year holidays.

All citizens of Elbasan are preparing to celebrate this ancient pagan tradition, which has left deep traces in our Albanian culture.

The municipality of Elbasan has decorated the city with New Year’s trees, a symbol of this holiday in the center of the city, but not only, while the ancient walls of the city’s fortress begin to light up as soon as darkness covers the city.

In the evening around the New Year tree dozens of children gather together with their parents, to take photos which they keep as a memory in their albums.

The decorated premises invite you to stay and enjoy this beauty that only happens for the New Year holidays.
