The acceptance in principle of the European Union’s plan for dialogue is expected to bring Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic together in Brussels.
In addition to the discussion about the framework of the EU’s proposal for the dialogue, it is expected to talk about the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority. However, the mediators of the dialogue have not yet delivered the official meeting invitations to the parties.

In the Government of Kosovo, they say that Kurti is ready for a meeting, so they are in constant contact with the European Union to schedule the next meeting.

The latter confirm to KosovaPress the preparations for the Kurti-Vucic meeting, while emphasizing that they have also taken into account the six conditions of Prime Minister Albin Kurti for the Association, but without indicating whether they have any comments on any of them, even because Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi, a few days ago said that Brussels has reservations in two of them.

“We are in constant contact with the European Union to schedule the next meeting. We have expressed our readiness for it publicly. We will keep you informed in time”, declares the spokesperson of the Government of Kosovo, Përparim Kryeziu.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the European Union, Peter Stano, tells KosovaPress that they are ready to mediate the discussions on the Association in the future dialogue meetings.

According to him, the forum to discuss the creation of the Association, as well as any proposal that the two parties may have, is within the framework of the dialogue.

At the beginning of this week, Prime Minister Kurti, after the meeting with the EU’s special representative for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak, officially accepted the EU’s proposal for the dialogue.

He considered this as a good basis for further talks and a solid platform to move forward towards the full normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia within the dialogue in Brussels.
