Albania’s first AI minister, Diella, is making headlines worldwide.

Prime Minister Edi Rama told  Times Radio that Diella acts as “the sun that never sets.” He praised her speed and efficiency compared to human ministers.

“Diella doesn’t sleep, doesn’t take a salary, has no private interests, and no cousins—a big problem in Albania,” Rama said.

He explained that Albania created this post to push reforms faster and modernize the state. According to him, Diella is already proving effective, even helping with EU integration by translating negotiation chapters in record time.

Rama called artificial intelligence “a blessing” for countries like Albania, giving them tools to recover lost time and move forward quickly.
