“DokuFest” brings 250 films to the city of Prizren

The 21st edition of the international documentary and short film festival, “DokuFest”, is taking place in Prizren.

“Prizren has become a destination for film lovers, filmmakers and many visitors from different countries. The screening of films in the open cinemas of the city offers a fantastic, very special experience,” reads the online announcement of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, of Kosovo. The official opening of the festival took place last night at Kino Lumbardhi, while the theme of this edition is “How to survive?”, wanting to answer many existential questions.

Present at this event were the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Donika Gervalla, the Deputy Minister of Culture, Daulina Osmani, the former President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, ambassadors, directors and art lovers.

In its 21st edition, “DokuFest” offers a rich program with more than 250 films, discussions and musical evenings. In the “Lumbardhi” cinema, 108 competing films from 58 countries will be shown in the following categories: “Balkan Dox”, “International Feature Dox”, “International Short Dox”, “International Shorts”, “Human Rights Dox”, “Green Dox”, “Truth Dox” and “National”. The competing films will be evaluated by a separate professional jury for each category. “DokuFest” will be held until August 13, 2022.
