Dua Lipa enjoys Pristina, inviting everyone to the special exhibition ‘Manifesta 14’

Dua Lipa is still staying in Pristina. Now that the ‘Sunny Hill Festival’ is over, she is visiting the city and enjoying a few days in her native land.
And of course, she did not hesitate to tell everyone about her activities, continuing with the promotion of Kosovo. Recently, the world-famous artist was in ‘Manifesta 14’. As she shared some photos from there, she invited everyone to visit this art exhibition, describing it as an experience that should definitely be experienced.
What is the Manifesta?
Manifesta, the European Nomadic Biennale, changes location every two years. Founded in the early 1990s, Manifesta has at its core the relationship between culture and civil society, investigating and promoting positive social change through contemporary culture in response and in close dialogue with the social sphere of the host city and its communities.
Manifesta has consistently chosen locations that reflect the ever-changing DNA of Europe to shed light on a world defined by changing ethical and aesthetic imperatives. Manifesta, as a recurring event, has become a multi-layered and comprehensive instrument of civic engagement projects.
This year, Manifesta 14 is being held in Pristina. Manifesta 14 aims to support the citizens of Kosovo in their ambition to reclaim public space and rewrite the future of their capital as an open-minded metropolis in the Balkans and Europe through the development of a new cultural institution. Also, it is giving voice to the request of Kosovo Albanians for the liberalization of visas.
Among the various photos, Dua also shared the poetry of a young poet from Kosovo, Elona Beqiraj. The poem is dedicated to Kosovo and all the difficulties to be independent.
“I love my name because it sounds like my parents’ motherland/ I love the land surrounded by mountains where my grandfathers fought/ I love the food our women hand made, everything out of nothing/ I love the language that was forbidden and it was learned secretly in the basements of hidden houses/I love my name because it sounds like the house they couldn’t take from us” – the poem says.
