EC: 6 billion euros for the Western Balkans; Balkan leaders meet on Monday in Skopje

The Economic Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, approved by the European Commission, will gather the leaders of the Western Balkans on Monday in Skopje (January 22). The meeting is organized by the government of the Republic of North Macedonia.
The host of the meeting will be the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovacevski, while the following have announced their participation in advance: the President of Serbia, Aleksandër Vučić, the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milojko Spajić, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, as well as the Minister of Finance and Treasury in the BoH Council of Ministers, Srgjan Amidzhiç.
This is announced by the government of North Macedonia itself.
The General Director for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations at the European Commission, Gert Jan Kopman, and the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, James O’Brien, will also participate in the meeting.
The Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia for European Affairs, Bojan Maricic, the Minister of Finance, Fatmir Besimi, as well as their colleagues from the countries of the Western Balkans will be part of the table.
Regional organizations, the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), CEFTA and the Investment Forum of the Six Chambers of the Western Balkans, as well as international financial institutions, participate in the meeting on the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans in Skopje, informs RTK.
In November of last year, the European Commission presented a new growth plan for the Western Balkans, which includes six billion euros in grants and loans to accelerate socio-economic cooperation with the European Union.
