TIRANA, December 18 – Endri Shabani took the oath as Albania’s Ombudsman in parliament today.

Speaker Niko Peleshi read the oath, and Shabani completed the swearing-in ceremony. Meanwhile, members of parliament followed the proceedings closely, highlighting engagement across the chamber.

Shabani’s appointment follows a previous parliamentary session that reviewed his candidacy, reflecting discussion and consideration among lawmakers.

The ceremony confirmed Shabani as the head of the Ombudsman institution, ready to carry out his responsibilities in overseeing citizens’ rights and public administration.
