EU Ambassador to Kosovo Aivo Orav met today with Acting Minister of Local Government Administration Elbert Krasniqi.

According to the statement, Orav discussed the role of strong and accountable local governance in implementing EU reforms. At the same time, he highlighted how local institutions can bring decision-making closer to citizens.

“Recent elections in Kosovo show how local democracy engages people and shapes policies that reflect community needs through decision-making close to them,” Orav said.

Meanwhile, Kosovo held its early parliamentary elections on December 28.
