EU-Western Balkan summit: Three leaders of the region to take a decision on June 22

Today, the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vuçiç had a conversation with the Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovacevski for the next EU-Western Balkans summit in Brussels. Vucic says that together with Rama and Kovacevski, they have agreed that on June 22, a decision will be made whether they will participate in this meeting. The three leaders also exchanged views on the next steps for the initiative of the Balkan-Vera Open Fair, which, as Vucic stressed, will gather the best wines from the region.
“This morning I talked to Edi Rama and Dimitar Kovacevski about the next EU summit on the Western Balkans in Brussels. We have agreed that after consultations with the governments and our advisor, tomorrow at noon to announce the decision whether we will participate in this meeting. We also exchanged views on the next steps of our initiative, the open Balkan-summer fair, which will bring together the best winemakers from the region, as well as on the next meeting where we will discuss many issues of interest to citizens.
“Together we fight for a clear perspective of the Western Balkans, even stronger cooperation and better ties,” wrote President Vucic on the social network Instagram.
