European Leaders in Tirana on May 16, Rama: Extraordinary for Albania and the Region

Prime Minister Edi Rama declared today that the leaders of the European continent will be in Tirana on May 16 for the European Political Community Summit.
“We are preparing for the European Political Community Summit, which will take place in Tirana on May 16, where all the continent’s leaders will come, from the UK to Azerbaijan, from Sweden to Turkey, to discuss the topics of this upcoming summit,” said Rama.
In a joint conference with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and European Commission Vice President, Kaja Kallas, who is on an official visit to Tirana today, Rama stated that this is something extraordinary for both Albania and the region.
“This is something extraordinary for Albania and extraordinary for the region. Naturally, there is a reason why this is happening in Albania. I believe it is a great recognition but also a huge responsibility for us as actors here, in this region, which is increasingly important for the EU,” added Rama.
