Within the framework of the European Week for Waste Reduction, the team from the Fier Protected Areas Administration collaborated with the JICA Project and the Junior Rangers Group to organize an environmental awareness initiative.

Initially, the Junior Rangers Group convened near the administrative offices to provide an overview of the European Waste Reduction Week. Subsequently, a waste cleanup activity was conducted at the Vahu Canal, situated near the Karavasta Lagoon.

The activities concluded with a bird-watching session held at the Karavasta Lagoon.

The European Waste Reduction Week is an initiative aimed at fostering awareness and implementing actions for sustainable resource management and waste reduction over the course of a designated week.
