Exhibition ‘Wall’, 12 artists in search of immortality

“Group 86”, consisting of well-known artists with a rich artistic career such as Adrian Devolli, Arben Meksi, Leon Çika, Luan Boriçi, Mira Kuçuku, Agron Polovina, Fatmir Tufina, Fatmir Minga, Violeta Kongo, Llambrini Dena, Mariana Goxhabelliu, as well as two authors who unfortunately passed away at the peak of their careers, Mustafa Arapi and Arben Bajo, have joined the exhibition “The Wall” which has been opened at the new Art Gallery of Tirana.

The exhibition curated by Rudi Erebara was opened by the director of the Tirana gallery Abaz Hado.
“They are contemporary artists, modern artists who have set the tone for Albanian art, in many media of visual arts”, said the director of the Tirana Gallery, Abaz Hado, who asked for cooperation and promised to open an art museum with the selected works by the artists who will exhibit in this institution.

Bujar Kapexhiu, the well-known cartoonist assesses the exhibitions in this genre as an innovation. While Arben Meksi tells the story of his works, some of which have received international awards, as well as the messages they convey. The artists are excited that the Tirana Gallery leaves space for the presentation of creativity.

This exhibition is titled “The Wall”, also due to the fact that works of art need the wall to be supported and exhibited, but looking once again at the sculpture of Arben Bajo and these paintings by Mustafa Arapi, we understand that on the page of a wall the artist clings even the fate of being immortal.
