Ferizaj Joins the “Parade of Albanians” in Tirana on November 28

The Municipality of Ferizaj is the first to join the upcoming “Parade of Albanians” to be held in Tirana on November 28. Tirana’s Mayor, Erion Veliaj, shared the news along with a video message from his counterpart in Ferizaj, Agim Aliu.

Veliaj announced that, in celebration of the 112th anniversary of Albania’s independence, Tirana Municipality and the Union of Albanian Municipalities will once again host the “Parade of Albanians” along the “Dëshmorët e Kombit” boulevard.

“My friend Agim Aliu and the community of Ferizaj are joining the ‘Parade of Albanians’ on November 28 at ‘Dëshmorët e Kombit’ boulevard. Tirana warmly welcomes our friends from Ferizaj to celebrate 112 years of independence and national pride! For the second year, Tirana Municipality and the Union of Albanian Municipalities, with the support of the ‘Albanian Roots’ Association, are organizing the ‘Parade of Albanians,’” Veliaj wrote.

In his message, Aliu described Tirana on November 28 as an event of profound pride, honor, and joy for all Albanians, inviting everyone to take part in the festivities.

“Tirana on November 28 will be filled with emotion, pride, honor, and extraordinary celebrations for all Albanians. This day, Tirana welcomes Albanians from everywhere to the red-and-black ‘parade of roots’—the largest gathering of Albanians—with cultural, sports, and youth groups filling the city squares. Let’s celebrate Independence Day together in Tirana. Join us. Happy Independence Day!” Aliu said.
