Bajram Curri (Tropojë) hosted the first edition of Next Generation. The city turned into a lively space of art, creativity and cultural dialogue.

The event took place on 21–22 November. It aimed to bring together young artists from Albania and Kosovo. As a result, the program created a shared platform for exchange and collaboration.

Moreover, the edition served as more than an event. It became an invitation to cooperate. Here, art acted as a tool for dialogue, and culture took new forms. Meanwhile, the voice of the new generation crossed political borders.

The activity was part of the International Cultural Weeks. Organizers chose Tropoja because ties between Albania and Kosovo are naturally strong there. Therefore, the two cultures met not for the first time, but as a continuation of long-standing connections.

Tropoja offered the right setting for a new model of cultural diplomacy. It encouraged creativity, cooperation and youth-driven art.

The two-day program included forums, performances, workshops, exhibitions and interactive activities. In addition, it brought together filmmaking, debates, storytelling and new artistic partnerships.

The music program also stood out. Oda Haliti performed with her sound that connects Tirana, Prishtina and Berlin. Likewise, Shpat Deda from Prishtina brought his unique blend of pop, soul, rock and jazz.

Visual installations and artistic interventions opened new spaces for interpretation. At the same time, the event offered a fresh way to explore local tastes and traditions as part of contemporary culture and cultural heritage.

At the center of the program stood one idea: cultural cooperation must grow, evolve and be shaped by the new generation.

Finally, the goal of the event was clear. It aimed to create a platform where young people and artists exchange ideas freely, build new bridges and imagine a shared cultural future. Next Generation marks an important first step toward a stronger model of cultural diplomacy in the region.
