TIRANA, February 13 – Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Elisa Spiropali, attended the Vienna Opera Ball as an honorary guest. Austria’s Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Beate Meinl-Reisinger, extended the special invitation.

Spiropali noted that the ball took place under the patronage of Austrian Federal President Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen.

The minister said the invitation reflects how Albania is viewed internationally. She emphasized that the honor at this traditional event, dating back to the 18th century, serves as a powerful tool of cultural diplomacy.

Spiropali highlighted that the invitation signals the respect, trust, and appreciation of Austrian friends toward Albania. She added that it demonstrates the country’s position as a natural part of Austria’s friendships and alliances.
